I am afraid, afraid of my shadow
so I don't go outside.
Afraid of my dentist
so my teeth are fallin' out.
My canines are septic,
all flesh and decay.
Cause I only bite if I'm threatened, afraid
Fight or flight switch
on when it broke.
An uneasy punchline,
A horrible joke.
The fictional frontline
to which I've been drafted
Will bend to my will
if it ever should happen.
But wartime cares not
for joy of existing.
I can't help but wonder
the world I am missing,
and I am terrified
of what I have become.
Comfortably dumb,
endearing to some.
Peddling scares
In the place of a pass time.
But I'm just a lily
disguised as a landmine.
For short bursts of Time
I puff out my chest.
But my asthma requires
me to take baby breaths.
My closest connections
transmissions in code.
And I miss my Memaw
when I'm on the road.
I'm oddly obsessed
with being depressed.
I'd heal if I wanted,
but likely remain a mess.
I am terrified
Of what I have become.
Comfortably dumb,
endearing to some.
I am terrified
Of what I have become.
Comfortably dumb,
endearing to some.
And I am terrified
of what I have become.
Observed from a distance,
Endearing to none

A very unique addition to the PUP discography that brings a multitude of new sounds compared to previous works, not bad by any means, just a little different.
Go see them live, chaotic. Shmoob

NOFX only get better. I will fight anyone on this.
And that Big Drag music video? HOLY SHIT!?!?!?
That was maybe the best cartoon version of reincarnation that I haver ever seen.
Much love to Fat, NOFX and the whole crew.

UK82-inspired hardcore punk from Christchurch, New Zealand, gruff and fast and economical and, of course, righteously pissed. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 16, 2020
Taking cues from Midwestern emo and early ’10 pop punk, this Leeds, UK outfit are full of heart— not to mention hooks. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 21, 2022

Coming back to punk rock after spending a lot of time away listening to other things made this extremely hard hitting and fresh. McCaughan's poetic lyricsm in Sundowner shines through in this release. Somehow Metropole didn't hit me like most, but I can see how "You Are Here" was a precursor to one of my favorite records to come. Shaughn Martel
